Emily joined Gleason in October 2019 as a Senior Consultant where she provides an array of specialized accounting and consulting services. Her primary responsibilities are within the Intellectual Property practice where she assists in the analyses of commercial success and nexus as part of secondary considerations of nonobviousness in patent infringement cases within the pharmaceutical industry. She has also supported damages analyses, such as lost profits and reasonable royalty calculations, in patent infringement cases and analyses to determine the potential exposure for products that are at risk of infringing another entity's intellectual property.
Prior to joining Gleason, Emily worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC, as an external auditor where she was engaged on public and private clients. While in the audit practice, Emily served domestic and global clients in various industries, primarily industrial manufacturing and specialty chemicals. During her four years in audit and assurance services, Emily’s responsibilities included detailed analytic reviews, accounting research, substantive testing procedures, and analysis/testing of client internal controls per Sarbanes-Oxley.
